Yesterday was a reminder that putting on a music festival is about so much more than just the music.
When the weather forced our hand, the many volunteers, staff, vendors, musicians, sound crew, sponsors, and so many others responded with patience, professionalism, and heart. Everyone simply did what needed to be done to keep the festival going and the guests safe.
Living in the midst of uncertainty isn’t easy, but, again, everyone came together to create something truly special. Seeing the music go on and the special community of festival goers gather around made all the challenges worthwhile. A huge shout-out to Amy Gallatin and Stillwaters, and Blue Highway for their adaptability and for putting on one hell of a show.
To every person who stayed, adapted, helped, encouraged, carried equipment, chairs, tents, answered questions, calmed nerves, and simply refused to give up…our sincerest thanks and gratitude. It is what makes the MBF what it is.
