Every year, Moonraker Studios honors one outstanding individual who goes above and beyond to inspire creativity, uplift others, and make our community brighter through the arts. Last year set the bar high — and we can’t wait to see who YOU bring forward this year.

If you know someone whose passion for creativity has made a real difference, we want to hear about them!

✨ How to Nominate Someone:
Bring your nomination by the gallery OR send us a message through Facebook OR text 870‑250‑2800 with the following info:
• Nominee’s Name
• What they’ve done to inspire creativity in the community
• Nominee’s contact information

🏆 Award Presentation: The recipient will be honored during the Annual Moonraker Studios Open House on November 7th.

Day 5—our final day of Artist Evolution Kids Summer Art Camp—was a whirlwind of creativity and celebration!
We began by learning about Jeanne Selmersheim‑Desgrange, exploring her beautiful Impressionist watercolor landscapes and her vibrant neo‑impressionistic pointillism paintings.

Our campers worked fast and loose like Jeanne, creating their own Impressionist watercolor landscapes, then shifted gears to make pointillism flower vases bursting with color.

To finish out the week, we gathered every artwork created from Day 1 through Day 5 and prepared a special mini art show for friends and family. Our Moonraker artists proudly displayed everything they’ve learned and created—and their joy lit up the whole gallery.

What an incredible week of evolution, imagination, and growth.

Day 4 of our Artist Evolution Kids Summer Art Camp was all about Piet Mondrian.
We explored his evolution from Realism, to Cubism, and finally to his bold creation of Neo‑Plasticism.

Our first project challenged campers to draw a tree without actually drawing a tree—letting spontaneous, intersecting lines form an organized abstract trees.

Then we shifted into Mondrian’s Neo‑Plasticism, creating artworks using primary colors, black, white, and gray, with only horizontal and vertical lines.

Their discipline, creativity, and focus today were incredible.
