One of the biggest joys of creating is not knowing what art piece might touch whom! This lovely lady saw my Static Shock piece, and a smile instantly appeared with admiration and joy. She laughed and said this would be the perfect gift for her husband because he is such a big fan of that show. As always, I love creating smiles through my work.
Even though that show hasn't aired in years, the cultural values it presented, not to mention highlighting a young Black Hero in his community. Reached people of all ages, was the number 1 animated rated show on WB during its run! They canceled it do to the refusal to make a Black Hero action figure with a white side kick smh! Over the years we've had various adoptions of Peter Parker as Spider-Man but they refuse to give us back Virgil Green as Static Shock
