In times like these, many of us are asking the same question: What can we do for peace?

One simple and meaningful way is to share our prayers, hopes, and intentions together.

We’re starting a Community Peace Prayer Project as part of the Rainbow Lantern Project. Community members will be invited to write prayers, blessings, hopes, or intentions for world peace on small fabric squares.

These squares will be available at participating local businesses, where anyone can stop in, take a quiet moment, and add their voice.

When the squares are collected, they will be strung together on long lines and displayed as flowing prayer banners — a visual reminder of the love, hope, and compassion that lives in our community.

You don’t have to have perfect words.
A single sentence. A prayer. A wish for the world.

🤝 Kindness
❤️ Love for all people

Each square becomes part of something larger — a living strand of community prayers for peace.

Through this project we affirm our shared commitment to liberation, justice, and peace for all people. Every voice, every hope, and every prayer matters.

If your business or organization would like to host a basket of prayer squares, we would love to include you in this project.

🌈 World AIDS Day 2025 🌈
SILENCE = DEATH

This year, on World AIDS Day, we join the global movement under the theme “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response.”

In 1987, Avram Finkelstein, Brian Howard, Oliver Johnston, Charles Kreloff, Chris Lione, and Jorge Socarrás created the iconic SILENCE=DEATH poster — reclaiming the pink triangle and transforming it into a symbol of resistance, solidarity, and survival. Their courage helped give voice to those silenced by stigma and neglect.

Today, with millions living with HIV worldwide and services under threat, the fight continues. The world still needs us to speak truth, support each other, and demand justice.

Rainbow Lantern Project is honored to have Jorge Socarrás with us — reminding us that activism is a legacy, and we each carry the spark forward. 🔥

On Wednesday, August 27th, 2025, they are excited to offer FREE haircuts and FREE gel manicures for LGBTQ2S+ youth only—because everyone deserves to love the way they feel and look.
