Grateful for the unexpected paths that open when we keep showing up 🌱

Honored to be a semi-finalist for the In Situ Polyculture Commons Remote Residency—and through this journey, to be invited into the Pollinator.coop May 2026 cohort.

A gentle reminder to myself: every application, every “no,” is not a closed door—but a window opening somewhere else. Sometimes wider, sometimes exactly where we’re meant to grow next.

Thankful for this unfolding path, for the communities that hold space, and for the chance to keep building, connecting, and dreaming forward.

Honored to help bring this community installation to life alongside the incredible artists Heidi Woo and Irene Domingo, translating AAPI NJ Co-President Amber Yang’s kindness and justice brainwaves into artwork ⚖️

This collaborative piece honors our community and celebrates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

🗓 Come see it this Saturday 10 AM-1:45 PM
📍 Montclair Public Library – Main Branch

Swipe for details and process images.

Below, in artist Heidi Woo’s words:

This mixed-media collaboration by Heidi Woo, Irene Domingo, Voyo Woo, and Matthew Yacavone honors the New Jersey AAPI community. The piece integrates ceramics, print, and illustration with cymatic patterns generated from the EEG waves of AAPI NJ Co-President Amber Reed as she reviewed media documenting the AAPI immigrant experience. At the center, a fierce foo dog serves as a powerful protector, shielding immigrant rights from negative forces and declaring a presence not to be reckoned with. By merging neurological data with traditional symbolism, the work transforms the emotional weight of the immigrant journey into a visual anthem of resilience and protection.
