Galit Chait Ice Skating Coach Galit Chait is an Ice Skating Coach specialized in Ice Dancing, Singles, Pairs & Hockey Power Skating

Galit is an Olympic, International and National Ice Dancer medalist. Her competitive highlights include 2002 World Championship Bronze medal. She and her partner Sergei Sakhnovski competed in three Olympics, finishing 6th in 2002, 8th in 2006 and 14th in 1998,. She was trained by world renown coashes: Natalia Dubova, Tatiana Tarasova, Evgeni Platov, Natalia Linichuk and Gennadi Karponosov. After l

eaving her career as a competitive skater, she began coaching ice dancing. As of January 2017, Galit is the head coach of the Israeli ice dancing team. Under her tenure, the team won the Gold medal at the 2019 Winter Universiade Games in Harbin China, the Bronze medal at Skate America 2009 and received qualification for participation in the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada. Her current team is participating in upcoming 2021 World Figure Skating Championship in Stockholm, Sweden. Galitโ€™s specialties include: Ice Dancing, Singles, Pairs and Hockey Power Skating.

This will be ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ 8th appearance at a Winter Olympics. Our first was back in 1994 when the team consisted of just one person โ›ธMichael Shmerkinโ›ธ Michael was back four years later along with Galit Chait & Sergei Sakhnovski whom he inspired to be a part of the team and so the tradition of the present inspiring the future to follow in their footsteps was born. It was our pleasure to speak to Michael, a true legend in Israel's Olympic and sporting history. "I'm so proud that the streak of sending a team continues. Not just in figure skating, but in skiing and speed skating as well.
