GREAT WAVE: Deciphered from Chaos

I don't paint from ideas. I paint in chaos — then I decipher what came through. It's as if the universe speaks through the doodles.

A wave rising against a red sky. Water is the oldest symbol: the unconscious, the flood, the deluge ending one world and birthing the next. Hall traced deluge myths through every mystery school — water as the great dissolver.

Steiner spoke of Atlantis, humanity's watery past beneath the waves of time. The red sky is alarm and dawn at once — destruction and genesis in the same color.

The wave doesn't ask permission. It just comes. You learn to swim, or you cling to the shore.

I don't paint from ideas. I paint in chaos — then I decipher what came through. It's as if the universe speaks through the doodles.

Three and six wrote themselves into the paint, and they point straight at nine — the numbers Tesla said hide the key to the universe. The shadow at the center is holding that key. The hermetic principles run all through it, not as words but as full color and sound — the keys along the side are listening. And the sun up top is an egg. The whole piece is mastery of the whole.

COSMIC HOURGLASS (2023): Deciphered from Chaos

I don't paint from ideas. I paint in chaos — then I decipher what came through. It's as if the universe speaks through the doodles.

An hourglass with dragonfly wings, bridging dark and light. Steiner: the cosmos breathes — outbreath into matter, inbreath back to spirit. We are mid-breath.

Hall's mysteries were schools of time. The dragonfly is old magic — Japan's kachimushi, the warrior spirit that never retreats.

Painted in 2023, my most recent signed work. The path isn't escaping time but sanctifying it, grain by grain.

A demon came through: neon red, horns, unblinking from blackness. The shadow made visible.

Steiner's Ahriman, demon of our age — cold materialism whispering you're only data. Hall: demons are psychology to confront, not superstition. The alchemists called it nigredo, the blackening before transformation.

Neon-lit, humming with screens and cities — raw power too. The shadow exists. The only question: integrate it, or be devoured.

What a great night! A successful show, loads of friends on hand. I’m so grateful for you all!
A special thanks to the Alabama Music Box for hosting me with zero notice in an incredible space full of friendly faces and F. Daniel Kent and his better half for picking up a couple of key pieces from my body of work. Thanks also go to Bo Emmons andOni Ctreevii for stopping by and of corse my friends over at Wizards trading post who always bring the best toys!
And I can’t forget Thoth who put me on this journey two years ago and welcomed me home towering over my space at the show, And Lexi hiding in the corner quietly doing the heavy lifting and keeping me on the rails. My whole life is magic.
