One of the most rewarding parts of creating Following the Serpent’s Veil was watching each dancer bring their character to life in their own way. One week since the premiere of Following the Serpent’s Veil, and we’re still buzzing. We’re incredibly grateful for the overwhelming love and moving feedback we’ve received from audiences over the past week. Hearing how this story resonated with so many of you has meant more than we can put into words. This is what community looks like. People coming together to create something meaningful, to celebrate culture, and to support one another. Thank you for being part of this unforgettable milestone. This is only the beginning!

This past weekend, we brought Following the Serpent’s Veil: Preah Thong Neang Neak to the stage at The Southern Theater, and we are still taking it all in. Three incredible performances, packed houses, and so many unforgettable moments shared together.

We are beyond grateful to every dancer, musician, staff member, volunteer, and artist who poured their hearts into bringing this production to life. Months of rehearsals, planning, collaboration, and dedication all led to these performances, and we couldn’t be more proud of what we created together.

To everyone who came to support us, our families, friends, community members, and those experiencing our work for the very first time, thank you. Seeing so many familiar and new faces in the audience meant the world to us. Your encouragement, applause, and kind words reminded us why we do this. We are so thankful to have shared this milestone with all of you.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making Following the Serpent’s Veil such a memorable and meaningful experience. We can’t wait to share what’s next!

In just one week, we’ll premiere Following the Serpent’s Veil: Preah Thong Neang Neak at The Southern Theater, and we can’t wait to share this story with you. Rooted in one of Cambodia’s most enduring legends, this original production brings together dance, music, and storytelling in a way that honors tradition while speaking to audiences today. We’re also honored to be joined by incredible artists from California, Massachusetts, Washington, and Colorado, whose talents and collaboration have helped bring this production to life.

Some stories never lose their power. The Reamker has inspired generations through its timeless themes of courage and resilience which is why it continues to live on today. What makes these stories so remarkable is that they aren’t only shared through dance. They can also be found in literature, poetry, architecture, and so many other art forms, each keeping their legacy alive in a unique way.

The summer heat is here, and we’re still smiling as we look back on such a wonderful season. These behind the scenes moments from our recital are some of our favorites. A little glimpse of the joy, friendships, and memories that made this season so special. Thank you to everyone who danced, supported, volunteered, and celebrated with us along the way!
