I was having trouble getting a finish in these narrow channels (1/4” wide and up to 1.75” deep) without getting a smudged finish on the top face. This is a cheap and simple solution, and the trimmed brushes last a long time.

Nice work . I’ve had to be very careful on thicker carves using 2.5”‘ long bits - to make sure the collet doesn’t hit the work piece while maintaining enough bit inside the collet. But, the 3” Ripper and TBN bits solved that problem and worked great. Yes, the extra half inch makes all the difference.
