I’m so grateful. Grateful to Jonathan for collaborating with me to make this beautiful work. Grateful to Lumen for saying yes to being the SSA trio for this cantata. Grateful to Elena for subbing in on the same day when our first soprano Rachel unexpectedly became ill the day of our concert. Grateful to Mom and Dad for driving 2.5 hours both directions to come hear me on a Thursday night. Grateful to Lou Alcott for writing q***r poetry. Grateful to the Twin Cities for making our arts scene so vibrant and creative. And most importantly…I’m grateful everyone got to take home a box of kale from the food distribution happening in the same building after the concert 🤪

We had our first rehearsal last night with Abs Trewin, mezzo-soprano/alto for our March 19 concert! ✨

Even more special: Jonathan Posthuma, Composer joined us to work with us on his Cantata that we’ll be premiering. We’re feeling inspired and can’t wait to bring this program to life.

The concert also features other Minnesotan composers including Michael Maiorana, Abbie Betinis, and Becky Sun
