Free the Deeds is a community-based art project that seeks to have every property in Minneapolis that had a racial covenant on it to display a lawn sign throughout the month of September, 2021. With your help, we will invite every property that had a racial covenant on it to display a lawn sign in its front yard during the month of September, 2021. Every resident of Minneapolis is also invited to

co-create equity by supporting African American home buyers with down payment assistance funds. Let's transform a legacy of hate to a legacy of love, one deed at a time.
