Meet the cast of "Nunsense: The Musical" at the Roxy Theatre April 24 & 25, 7 p.m.!

Theresa Linder returns to the Roxy stage as Sister Hubert, having previously played Clairee in "Steel Magnolias" and Ethel Chauvenet in "Harvey." Prior to those roles, Theresa played Julie in "Carousel" with the Canton Civic Opera and various roles in other musicals.

Theresa is a retired banker, still working two days a week, and loves to spend time with family, walk, work in her flower beds, read and listen to books, and sing.

She loves that Sister Hubert "tries to be understanding and dignified, but with a little encouragement is not afraid to have a good time."

"I love that she gets to declare, 'With God all things are possible!'," Theresa said.
She thinks the entire cast is going to blow people away! "Rachel is an outstanding Mother Superior! Genevieve has a great Jersey accent! Savanna is sweet yet strong, so can easily fit the character of Sister Leo. Then there's Kim who wonderfully plays Sister Amnesia," she said, adding, "God bless Lise abnd Thommy for their patienbce and encouragement to all of us!"

“Nunsense” is a hilarious spoof about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manage a fundraiser. Sadly, the rest of the sisterhood died from botulism after eating vichyssoise prepared by Sister Julia Child of God. Thus, the remaining nuns – ballet-loving Sister Leo, streetwise Sister Robert Anne, befuddled Sister Mary Amnesia, the Mother Superior Sister Regina, and mistress of the novices Sister Mary Hubert – stage a talent show to raise the money to bury their dearly departed.

“Nunsense: The Musical” in a special fundraising event for The Minerva Community Charitable Fund, a 501(c)3, was established in 2004 and providing grant funds to support a wide variety of projects benefiting the Minerva area. All proceeds from the event will support the work of programs and organizations that are making Minerva a better place to live and work.

Tickets for the event are $25 per person and are available at the Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce, 203 N. Market St., Minerva; online at https://minervachamber.ticketspice.com/nunsense-the...; or at the door.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and homemade desserts will be available by donation.

Meet the cast of "Nunsense: The Musical," a special fundraising event for The Minerva Community Charitable Fund on April 24 & 25, 7 p.m., at the Roxy Theatre.

Genevieve is a Minerva High School student where she has been in all drama productions since 2023 and plays Sister Robert Anne in "Nunsense." In her free time she likes to read, run, work at camp, and do nails.

She says what she likes most about her character is that she gets to have a boy's name and speaks with an accent, which is "super fun!" She added, "I also like that I get to wear Converse!"

She noted that Theresa Linder as Sister Hubert is going to blow people away because "she sings really well and has some really funny lines."

Meet the cast of "Nunsense: The Musical" coming to the Roxy Theatre Friday & Saturday, April 24 & 25, 7 p.m.

Savanna Bartley plays Sister Mary Leo and comes to the Roxy stage just after a role in the Minerva High School 2026 musical "Legally Blonde." In her free time, Savanna works at Kensington Dairy Bar, golfs, listens to music, and collects records.

She says she loves that Sister Mary Leo is fun, loves to dance and sing, and is funny. Savanna added that she thinks Genevieve Galarneau as Sister Robert Anne is going to blow people away. "We just came from our high-school show with a one-day break," she said, "and she has blown me away with her talent and hard work."

Kim Franz, a retired graphic designer and part-time exercise instructor, plays Sister Mary Amnesia. In her free time, Kim water and snow skis, travels, paddleboards, and golfs. She was involved in theater in high school and what she loves most about her character is that she's allowed to forget things.

She said she thinks all the cast members are going to impress the audience, adding, "All the sisters worked very hard to make this production fun!"

Meet the cast of "Nunsense: The Musical," at the Roxy Theatre April 24 & 25!
The Minerva Community Charitable Fund is excited to present “Nunsense: The Musical” in a special fundraising event on Friday and Saturday, April 24 and 25, 7 p.m., at the Roxy Theatre!

Rachel Galarneau returns to the Roxy Theatre stage as Mother Superior and in real life is a pastor at Great Trail Community Church of God. She has previously appeared with the Roxy Theatre Players as Madam Arcati in "Blythe Spirit" and Judge Gaffney in "Harvey," as well as in various church and high-school productions.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys cooking, painting with Bob Ross videos, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with her kids.

She says what she loves about her character is "that Mother Superior tries her best to keep everybody in line, but when chaos ensues, she has enough s***k and it doesn't get her down."

She thinks Kim Franz as Sister Amnesia is a "show stopper" and is going to blow the audience away. "She's hilarious!" Rachel said.
