Lotus Theatre alumnus, Kongmeng Yang, and friend of Lotus, Kazoua Thao, are both in Lee Lue the Musical, playing on the Skylight Music Theatre stage September 3-6, 2026.

Lee Lue the Musical is an original musical wiritten by a Milwaukee=based Hmong playwright, featuring an all-Hmong cast of local performers.

Lee Lue The Musical is a new Hmong musical — historical fiction inspired by the real life of Lee Lue, a teacher who became a pilot in the Secret War in Laos during the Vietnam era. World premiere September 3–6, 2026 at the Cabot Theatre at Skylight Music Theatre in Milwaukee.
