Backlash Fest was created with one simple mission, to bring our community together through great music while supporting meaningful charitable causes.

When we selected The Shepherd’s Office as one of our charitable beneficiaries, that decision was based on our own firsthand experience. Members of the Backlash Fest team personally toured the facility, met with staff and volunteers, and witnessed the dedication of those providing meals, resources, and support to individuals and families in need. Our intention was simply to support that important work.

Following the announcement that proceeds from Backlash Fest would benefit The Shepherd’s Office, the recent controversy and public discussion surrounding the organization began to overshadow the purpose of the festival. Some of our sponsors, performers, and community partners were also contacted regarding the proceeds from the 2026 event.

While we respect everyone’s right to share their concerns, we believe those who have committed their time, talent, and resources to Backlash Fest should not be placed in the middle of discussions unrelated to the purpose of our event.

After careful consideration, we have made the decision to select a different charitable beneficiary for Backlash Fest 2026.

This decision does not diminish the positive work we personally witnessed at The Shepherd’s Office, nor should it be viewed as a statement regarding the organization. It reflects our responsibility to keep Backlash Fest focused on what it was created to do, bringing people together through music, supporting our community, and making a meaningful impact through charitable giving.

We are grateful to our sponsors, performers, volunteers, and attendees who continue to support Backlash Fest and help make this event possible.

We remain committed to bringing people together through music and using Backlash Fest as a way to give back to our community. We will announce our new charitable beneficiary in the coming weeks.

We're excited to announce the newest addition to the Backlash Fest 2026 lineup, so please welcome Clayton Eberly!

Clayton is a talented 17-year-old country music singer-songwriter who lives and works on his family's cattle ranch, Red Rose Cattle Company. Between riding horses, creating and selling custom cowboy hats, and writing music, he's bringing an authentic country sound to this year's festival.
