Texas homecoming mums have officially gotten out of hand.

At this point, calling them a “mum” feels a little disrespectful.

These things have ribbons, bells, lights, stuffed animals, cowbells, footballs, photos, names, class years, enough glitter to affect nearby radar… and apparently their own gravitational pull.

Scientists say the Great Wall of China being visible from space is a myth.

Texas homecoming mums?

Astronauts just look down and say, “Yep… must be Friday night in Texas.”

Some of these things are so big the girl isn’t wearing the mum — the mum is wearing the girl.

Everything really is bigger in Texas. Especially homecoming.
