Casper to be home for College National Finals Rodeo until 2037.

Casper, Wyoming, in the heart of the “Cowboy State” has been home to the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association’s (NIRA) championship event, the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR), since 1999.

Because of the dedication of the entire community, sponsors, athletes and schools, the organization and CNFR has seen steady growth. Ticket sales have increased with sold out performances on championship Saturday the past three years. During the 2026 CNFR a contract extension was signed that will see the best collegiate rodeo athletes making their way to Casper through 2037.

Josie was the picture of consistency through the long rounds. She went into the Championship Round ready to show why she should be among the top in the nation. A little tough luck pushed her back a few spots in the average, but Josie took it in stride! Congratulations Josie on finishing #12 in the Nation and we are ready to see you take a run at it again next year!

After a tough draw and a long time in Round 1, Weston came back to make two runs that would shoot him to the top of the standings. He may have just missed going into the Championship Round, but we're pretty proud of him. He came back and showed out! Congratulations Weston! #15 in the Nation

The Championship round can be seen on ESPN+ at 7:00 PM from the Ford Center in Casper, WY. Menzel sits 9th in the average after finishing 7th in round 3!

Grateful to have lunch and catchup with our Athletic Director Jerry Olson and President Dr. Ron Slinger and his wife! Now to watch the final performance to see how things shake out and who will make it onto tomorrow night’s short round!
