We’d like to *spotlight* one of our Midlothian Day Parade & Festival sponsors. We are proud to partner with Spotlight Studio of Dance as our Platinum Sponsor. One of the benefits of a platinum sponsorship is naming a litter of puppies as well as a coveted puppy visit. The little ladies and gentlemen of Spotlight had a lot of fun naming these sweet little puffballs after dance steps. We’d love to introduce you to Petit, Shuffle, Demi, Frappe, Aerial, Turner, Allegra, Shirley Temple, Vegas, Sugar, and Prance (Mama Broadway not pictured). We are exactly two months away from the 44th Annual Midlothian Day Parade and Festival! We have been hard at work curating a community event that showcases all of the traditional activities that have been enjoyed in the past while also growing and bettering the festival for the future.
With those goals in mind, we have identified two major challenges with the Midlothian Day Festival: space and parking. In order to help solve the space challenge, we will expand into the faculty parking lot to the left of the middle school. This will add considerable space to the footprint of the festival allowing for more vendors, more food options, more activities, and more room to move. We are tackling the parking challenge by opening up the parking lots at JB Watkins Elementary School and running three continuous shuttles between the elementary school and the middle school where the festival takes place between 10 am and 3 pm on Saturday, October 17. Now we have more space AND more parking!
We are able to offer this in large part due to our generous shuttle sponsors, 89-Paint, Lewis Plastic Surgery, and Tactiq, Inc.

We’ve been so busy juggling puppies** that we haven’t done a good job of getting the word out to our potential crafters and vendors about this year’s Midlothian Village Day Festival. So we’re going to keep vendor applications open through this Sunday, March 22. Decisions will still be communicated by March 31. This year’s festival is Saturday, October 17, and we’re expecting 3,000 to 5,000 visitors. This will be the 44th Annual Midlo Day Festival and we are excited to see it grow! Applications are now open for the 2026 Midlothian Village Day Festival! If you’d like to be a crafter, vendor, or exhibitor for this year’s festival on Saturday, October 17, 2026, please check out the comments of this post for a link to the vendor/crafter application. We will be selecting 100 vendors/crafters to join us for this much-beloved, community event with attendance expected to be in the 3,000-4,000 range. Applications are open until 5 PM Monday, March 9, 2026, and spots are $100.
