Wavy Blue Planter Bowl

This wide planter bowl (about 11”) carries such a calming rhythm in its form—the soft wave-like ridges make it feel alive, almost like ripples moving across water. The glaze blends earthy blues and greens with subtle speckles, creating a surface that shifts beautifully in different light. I love how it feels both grounded and fluid, like it belongs in a quiet garden corner filled with herbs or on a sunny windowsill with trailing plants spilling over the sides.

Rustic Blue Mug with Deep Speckles

I love how the speckles in this glaze interact with the form of the mug—deep, rich, and full of variation. The light catches the surface in such a satisfying way, bringing out the depth of color. This one feels like it belongs in a cozy cabin with a strong cup of coffee.

Ribbed Mug Set in Sunlight

I wanted to highlight the texture in these mugs, and the sunlight really brought it to life. The ribs catch the glaze differently, giving it so much movement. It’s one of my favorite forms to throw because of how the glaze interacts with the surface.

Cloudy Blue Mug with Warm Rim

This glaze combination always surprises me. The way the blues drift together reminds me of a soft sky just before dusk, and the warm rim gives it a subtle contrast. It’s pieces like this that make me excited to keep experimenting with glazes.

Handheld Speckled Mug

There’s something about holding a mug fresh from the kiln, turning it in the light, seeing how the glaze settled. The speckled blue-green finish on this one came out just right—rustic, textured, and full of depth.

Soft Blue Mug with Warm Tones

There’s something about this glaze that always reminds me of watercolor—soft transitions, flowing movement, and deep saturation in the right spots. The warm rim adds a little contrast and depth, making this one feel extra special.

Mug Set in the Grass

I love seeing how different mugs interact with the same glaze. Even with the same materials and firing, each one has its own character—variations in texture, movement, and color. These are all part of the same family but each with their own unique story.

Maker’s Mark on Mug Base

Signing each piece is one of my favorite parts of the process. It’s a small but meaningful moment—the final touch before the piece goes off to be used and appreciated. The texture of the raw clay against the smooth glaze is always satisfying to see.

Rounded Mugs with Flowing Glaze

The way the glaze moves over these mugs makes them feel alive—flowing like water over stone. The rounded form makes them a pleasure to hold, and that rich speckled texture adds even more depth.

Blue Speckled Bowl with Glaze Detail

This bowl came out of the kiln with such an interesting glaze variation—tiny speckles, soft breaking along the rim, and that one bright glaze bubble. These little imperfections make each piece unique, a reminder of how unpredictable the kiln can be.
