A heartfelt thank you to you all for your steadfast support throughout our performances of August Wilson's Seven Guitars! As we prepare to celebrate our 40th year of bringing you our best live theatre, we are truly grateful for your commitment to keeping The Arts alive. Our passion for theatre and our desire to share our joy with you have fueled our journey, and we look forward to many more years together.

A sincere thank you to everyone who braved the rain this weekend to make our opening a resounding success! Your support means the world to us, and we are truly grateful! We also want to extend our appreciation to those who wished to be there but could not make it. Your presence was felt through the countless messages, calls, and social media interactions, and we thank you all for your encouragement!

ABOUT SEVEN GUITARS:

"Seven Guitars," a play by Pulitzer Prize winning Playwright, August Wilson, is set in Pittsburgh's Hill District in 1948explores the struggles of the African American community through the life of Floyd Barton, a musician whose aspirations for success are challenged by various obstacles that ultimately lead to his tragic demise. The narrative unfolds through a combination of present-day scenes and flashbacks, highlighting Floyd's relationships with key figures such as his partner Vera and the ailing mystic Hedley. Their conversations dive into the realities of their lives, addressing themes of community, ambition, and systemic oppression. As part of Wilson's ten-play cycle that chronicles the African American experience throughout the twentieth century, "Seven Guitars" resonates with themes of identity, loss, and the complexities of dreams, solidifying its significance in American theater.
