We are an all volunteer group of artists and photographers that exists to promote the education and appreciation of the visual arts in Monmouth County, New Jersey through exhibits and programs.

GOOD NEWS!! The submission end date for the 2023 Winter Photography Exhibit has been extended.
The online submissions now end January 4, 2023, at midnight.
Another receiving date has been added also: January 14, 2023 from 10 until 12.
Receiving dates are now January 7 from 10 to 12, January 9 from 10 to 12, and January 14 from 10 to 12.
We look forward to seeing you at one of the receiving dates.

It was a beautiful day at Deep Cut Gardens yesterday in Middletown, NJ for our Plein Air event. Nice turnout of ASMC artists painting and drawing from the many spectacular views in the park. Thanks to Rich for playing his antique accordion with some great nostalgic tunes. We also met some wonderful people looking to join our organization.

Please join your fellow ASMC members for a Plein Air event on Friday, October 7th, 2022. To be held at Deep Cut Gardens located at 152 Red Hill Road, Middletown, NJ 07748. We will meet in the parking lot at 11am. Deep Cut Gardens has many beautiful areas to paint, so bring your creativity.
ANTHONY RUSSO - WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 19 - LIVE at the Monmouth Beach Cultural Center at 10:30am.
The presentation will focus on oil painting techniques on non-canvas surfaces such as antiques, musical instruments, wood and any flat or rounded surfaces. It will also discuss picking a theme and oil painting techniques. Anthony will also bring sample materials to class to show participants.
About the Artist Anthony Russo
My favorite time of day has always been when I am drawing or painting. Although I never formally studied art and working as accountant to support my family often made it hard to find the time, my love of art never faded. Now, I am able to spend as much time as I like creating and I find great joy in sharing prints of my paintings and even some of the originals.
My Inspirations
I am most inspired by where I live, near the sea and in the sun on the New Jersey shore. Also, I love to ski in the mountains of Vermont, the Rockies and anywhere else I can find some snow. My love of travel has taken me far and wide and these experiences inspire me to capture memories of my trips in my paintings.
My Medium
I find working in a single medium restricts my creativity so I use many different ones including acrylics, oils and ink, allowing each idea to manifest in its own individual style. Most of what you see on this site are prints of my original oil paintings. However, if you're interested in the original of one of the prints, please contact me.

Call for Entries! The City of Asbury Park, in conjunction with The Asbury Park Public Arts Commission and with support from the Asbury Park Arts Council and a Monmouth Arts Renew 2022 grant, is seeking artists from all backgrounds, locations, and levels of experience to create murals for a permanent mural project on the city-owned Wastewater Treatment Facility located at the north end of the Asbury Park Boardwalk.
