It’s always nice to receive a text from a student letting me know they were nominated for a Basie award! Congratulations Julia! 🎶🌷🎉
Amazing!
I just love watching my students soar to new heights. Here is Hannah Simpson in a non traditional casting of Camelot belting out a magnificent high B flat! Looking for a Christmas present that lasts a lifetime? Give the gift of voice lessons. It’s a gift that will keep on giving many years after the fact. foxvoicestudio.com
Dear Friends and Family, Tonight on NBC, at 9pmEST, one of my old voice students is going to be on Law and Order, Special Victims Unit. Amanda is on the poster below. She’s on the far left, third one down holding a coffee mug. She’s playing a soccer manager’s daughter. This stroke of luck couldn’t happen to a nicer gal. Amanda is so hard working and so kind. Years ahead of her chronological age. (She is not an extra.) She said she comes into the show halfway into it and stays till the end. Her dad says she has 3 really fun scenes. In his words, he said she nailed the audition. No one works harder! Not bad for a freshman at NYU. I think she just paid for her next semester of school with this gig!😊 I couldn’t be prouder. As my students know, they all become family to me for life. I love when they achieve a life goal wither it be a baby, marriage, becoming a doctor or surgeon, touring with famous Broadway legends, singing in Lyric Opera of Chicago.... well, I just burst with pride. Please tune in tonight! I’ve got my popcorn ready!
Just got a text from a parent of a student now in college at NYU. Amanda will be on Law and Order tonight at 9pm EST. Her dad said she has three very funny scenes! Tune in! Amanda is very short with dark brown hair with huge eyes and a big smile!
In addition to being a private voice teacher, I am also an active performer. If you are in Canton, Ohio next Saturday, April 30th, please do attend the Beethoven 9th with the Canton Symphony and the wonderful Maestro, Gerhardt Zimmermann leading the way! Mention my name at the box office and get a 50 percent discount on your ticket!
I just wished one of my old students a happy birthday and below is what she wrote me. To say her words touched me doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface. Being a musician and being a singer requires so much. It’s not just about learning a solid technique that will last a lifetime but we are first and foremost, musical artists. And that’s where taking care of the heart comes in. I feel very honored that I was able to help my student to heal and to grow. I’m not sure how I managed that but I am grateful I was able to make a difference. As a teaching artist that really warms my soul. Thank you my wonderful student! 💕
Thank you, Diane! And thank you for helping me heal my musical trauma. You got me through a very difficult time in my life, which helped me to make it to 34! I'll never forget your kindness and support. 💖💖💖
Great news!!! A student just booked a cartoon and Netflix gig!! He must now join SAG.
Post congratulations to voice student, Amanda, playing the lead in a fantastic run of the musical, 12th Night.
Congratulations to voice student, Aldan on winning the role of Flounder in a stage production of “A Little Mermaid!”

Congratulations to Fox Voice Studio student, Shantavia Burchette!! She worked extremely hard for this taking two voice lessons a week, perfecting her language skills with Tom Getty and Judy Berson, along with her acting skills with Lori Tishfield, all done remotely online. She went through a lot of challenges this past year with covid both professionally and personally and kept plowing through! Regardless if she wins the big prize or not, she is a true pro in my book! I am honored to be her voice teacher.

Now is the time to sign up for voice lessons and classes with Fox Voice Studio! Spring Semester begins next week, starting Sunday, January 24th! All lessons and classes are completely virtual so anyone in the world can study if they would like! We just wrapped up the Fall Semester class of Storytelling through Song drama class for adults with Lori Tishfield tonight and it was a wonderful success! Lori is a magical teacher that will put you at ease immediately and help you to explore emotions you haven't addressed in a long time or ever through music. This is a class for non professionals so no worries if you think you don't sound like Beyonce. Lori will help you to find the best you. And if you are an aspiring professional musical theatre or operatic student, there are two more drama classes for students taught by Lori Tishfield and Paul Buresh.
But there's more to Fox Voice Studio! So much more! For the serious classical singer we have diction classes in French, Italian, German and English taught by world class vocal coaches and lifelong teachers of diction. Tom Getty and Judy Berson will have you sounding like a native speaker in no time! These classes are especially important for students about to major in classical voice in college or professionals that may need some review. It is possible also to have one on one classes to perhaps learn a new opera role or prepare for an upcoming recital.
Paul Buresh will also be teaching beginner piano class, a must class for all beginner voice students that have never touched a piano previous to voice lessons. And! We have Music Theory and ear training classes with Doug Clark, a great composer and also a teacher of music theory. He'll make the class all music majors dread in high school and college, enjoyable and not a frightening thing! This is also an especially important class for anyone that writes their own songs.
As the founder of Fox Voice Studio I have been teaching singing for 22 years guiding students in most every genre of singing helping to place students in some of the best musical theatre and classical voice conservatories and colleges in the nation. I am a professional opera and musical theatre singer. I have worked with singers from the beginner to the professional, from the very young to the very young at heart. And no need to worry if you think you may be tone deaf. I can help you with that too! Go ahead! Throw a challenge at me! I'll accept! I love guiding the novice just as much as the student ready to burst out onto the world stages.
At Fox Voice Studio our biggest concern is you! We want to help you grow as a musician and artist and help you find the best you!

I had to share this! I don’t think I have ever heard it sung more beautifully. Christine Papania was a very dear voice student of mine while in high school. She went on to get her voice performance degree from the famed, Indiana University. And from there she’s been doing nothing but wonderful things! She’s been a soloist at Carnegie Hall so many times that I’ve lost count and has toured Europe and the United States with her two person new age band, Ariadne. Talk about being versatile! And her heart is as pure as that golden voice you will hear!❤️
