Check out: CampOUT , a camp program for our LGBTQ youth from local non-profit Pridelines.
It's a comprehensive three-day program that offers LGBTQ+ and allied youth the opportunity to develop and build their leadership skills while also gaining access to a wide range of "camp" and nature activities that may not be readily available to them. Participants can choose to stay overnight or attend as a day camper. During CampOUT, youth will participate in and/or lead workshops and skills-building activities focused on a variety of social justice topics, such as bullying and school safety, activism, gender identity development, leadership, civic engagement, safer s*x, community organizing, media literacy, storytelling, and more. In addition to these workshops, there will be plenty of opportunities for campers to engage in recreational activities such as canoeing, hiking, and archery, and more!
