“Marseille”
The composition pulls inward and then releases outward through sweeping lines and splashes. Thicker marks sit over fine, almost chaotic traces, creating tension and balance at the same time. Built quickly, layer by layer, to keep the surface alive. That mix of control and spontaneity reflects the rhythm of Marseille in spring.

A violet ground holds everything together while brighter strokes cut through and shift the direction of the piece. Some areas are dense and built up, others are left open. The contrast creates space for the painting to breathe. It captures that moment when something new is forming and hasn’t fully settled yet.

A dense, energetic core held within a 36” x 36” frame. Layers of acrylic build over each other, creating movement that keeps unfolding as you look at it. Nothing is fixed, everything feels in motion. This piece came together in that early spring state when energy starts organizing itself again.
