The Salmon River FSC presented “Glitter and Gold on Ice” as their end of the year show! A special shout out to all the parents, family, and skaters who helped to make our first year a success. Our Salmon River Skating School had record numbers and we are all excited to see where next season takes us!! I slipped in a couple rehearsal and practice pictures as well from the last couple weeks! Thank you to Erik Robbins our show announcer, Terry Robbins our locker room and show monitor, Jenn Thomas and Kristen Colton for running concessions, and Monique Ruddy for delivering the canned goods to the food bank! We all appreciate our wonderful instructors who have worked hard to get the skaters ready! Thank you Taylor Walpole, Avalon Leon, Aden Renfer, Cindy Robbins, and Caroline Stainton!!! Here’s to next year!

Congratulations to Claire Ryder of the Salmon River FSC!!! Claire competed this past weekend at the Empire State Games held in Lake Placid. Claire received the bronze medal in her Aspire 1 Freeskate. This wonderful finish qualified her to compete in the state games held in Pennsylvania this summer! Claire’s figure skating coach is Taylor Walpole, who is also one of our instructors in our learn to skate program. Congratulations to both of you!!

The very first Christmas on Ice show was a success!! A huge shout out to all the parents and skaters who worked so hard with costuming and rehearsals! A special thank you to all the people that worked in the concession stand so that we could all stay warm on intermission!!! Shoutoutt and thank you to Tab for announcing and Jill for the program and being sure all of the food items reached their destination to help the community! I am forever grateful and blessed to have a wonderful crew of instructors as well! They worked endless hours inside and outside of the Rink, cutting music and doing choreography and helping with all the decorating! We at Salmon River FSC wish you all a very Merry Holiday season and see you next year!!

Thank you to all the parents who have been so patient with rearranging some private lessons and with getting your skaters to our learn to skate for their rehearsals!! We have a great show to put on!
