I bought a very old book that was in rough shape in a store recently. I wanted to see if I could turn it into a journal. After thinking about how to go about this, I tried it and I LOVE the results! It has 256 sheets of lined and unlined paper and I'll be adding pockets and ephemera throughout. The book is a reading primer about animal folk tales so it will be animal themed. I'll be trying this again with a few other old books I have on hand but let me know if you'd like me to save this one for you! Kountry Nook Gift & Craft Mall

I’ve been in a bit of a creative slump lately—wanting to make something, but not quite sure what.

Today, I finally picked up the Art Dice my daughter gave me for Christmas and gave them a try for the first time. There are a bunch in the container, but I pulled just two, tossed them and it gave me this: black & white and graphite/pencil.

With a little help from an old book by Alli Koch, I ended up sketching this poppy. The proportions are definitely off and the whole thing feels a little wonky… but you know what? I created something, and that counts. 🌿
