www.hsdinetfineart.com I’ve had a lifelong passion for the visual arts, from architectural illustration to fine art. After founding my own firm in 1981, I spent 14 years creating detailed sketches and animations. Later, I transitioned into multimedia and technology, eventually becoming a VP of Sales whil

e also launching a media company. Throughout, I remained dedicated to painting, donating art for charities and exploring both abstract and realism. Now, I focus entirely on art, balancing expressive abstraction with detailed wildlife paintings, continually evolving and sharing my creative vision. "Buddy 1955" // https://www.hsdinetfineart.com/warehouse-open-edition-prints/art_print_products/buddy-1955

This was a piece that I created for the play “Buddy” at dinner theater in Mesa, AZ. I did a Solo show in their small gallery adjacent to the dinner theater. It is an abstraction of a Buddy Holly album cover. I love the edge treatment. The palette is red, orange, black, grey and silver. It’s a smaller, nice painting and would go well in a bar or more festive area.

From my collection, this is: "Fred and Ginger"

The Original is SOLD, prints and merchandise are available.

This is a figurative piece done for a solo show. Silhouette’s go well with abstract style painting. This represents a couple of folks dancing and has a circular motion to represent the movement of dance. You can almost feel them flying by! One of my friends owns this one.

Where do you spend the most time? Does the art in that room actually reflect how much time you spend there?

The spaces we use most deserve the most thought.

On my mind lately: "2012 Breeders Cup - Zenyatta"

Restful Spot

My dad loved eagles when I was growing up, he always bought statues and collectable prints of them. It inspired me to pick this as a subject. Also, a good friend and fellow art collector challenged me to try painting “wildlife”. I generally love wildlife so spending hours painting it is therapeutic. On this particular painting this eagle is resting a tree constantly observing his surroundings, his beak shows some distress from his hunting activities. I have a log cabin on a river in Upstate NY and seeing them in person is both awesome and a little scary at the same time. They have massive wing spreads and large talons.

Here is a question worth sitting with: what do you actually see when you walk into your own home?

Not what is there, but what do you still notice? What draws your eye?

What have you stopped seeing because it has been there so long?

"L.A." and the online art gallery is here, if you need to switch things up.

There is a format that changes how a work reads on a wall, not just how it looks, but how it feels in a room.

Metal prints have a clarity and a presence that is different from anything else.

No frame is competing for attention. Just the work, direct. It is a format worth considering if you want something that holds up over time.
