In Loving Memory of Mary Wheeler
It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we share the passing of one of our most cherished members, staff members, and Bingo Manager, Mary Wheeler. Today, our Center lost not only an icon, but a dear friend to so many.
For countless years, Mary was the very first smiling face to welcome you through our doors. Her kindness, warmth, and boundless love for this Center touched everyone she met. Mary had a rare and beautiful gift—she made every member and guest feel truly seen, valued, and at home.
Mary found joy in so many of the things that make our Center special, especially Bingo. Whether she was calling the numbers or playing alongside friends, her infectious laughter and enthusiasm filled the room and lifted the spirits of all around her.
And of course, Fridays belonged to Boise State. You could always count on Mary proudly dressed in blue and orange, cheering on her team and sharing that same spirited energy with everyone she encountered.
Mary’s impact on our community is immeasurable, and her presence will be deeply missed. Though her seat may now be empty, her love, laughter, and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In Mary’s honor, we invite everyone to wear Blue & Orange this week as we celebrate her beautiful life and the joy she brought to our community.
