The creation of the 1st Saturday Downtown Meridian Art Walk is to bring individuals into the heart of our ever developing Downtown area and feel individually connected to arts in Meridian. While the Mississippi Arts and Entertainment center is dedicated to celebrating the arts of Mississippi we would like to offer a space for our residents to celebrate their individual talents as well. e to create a list of participating businesses that are interested in featuring a local artist of their choice to exhibit inside their establishment during Art Walk. A map of Downtown will be created where each participating business will be pin pointed. We will encourage patrons to visit all establishments during the event. The 1st Saturday of each month seems like an optimum recurring date and will work in conjunction with Earth’s Bounty. In order to encourage individuals to participate in both Art Walk and Earth’s Bounty Art Walk take place between 8am and 1pm.
