After three fun-filled decades of music, dancing, and memories under the Mequon summer skies, weâve made the tough decision to pause Gathering on the Green as we know it. This may come as a surprise to many of you and we want to assure you this decision wasnât made lightly.
But let's be clearâthis is not a goodbye. In the entertainment world, farewells often lead to spectacular returns. Just like legendary artists such as KISS, Cher, Elton John, Tina Turner, and even Frank Sinatraâwho all announced farewells only to grace the stage againâsometimes what feels like the end is really just an encore waiting to happen. So, while we don't have an actionable plan at the moment, who knows what the future holds?

For the past thirty years, your passion for live music and supporting music-based programming throughout the community has made our time together special and added purpose to Gathering on the Green events. As a fan, youâve been the heartbeat and the soul of this tradition, helping turn our little corner of Wisconsin into a concert destination.
However, the rising production and talent costs have made it difficult to deliver the high quality experience this community deserves without significantly raising ticket prices or asking more from our amazing sponsors.
At some point, you have to take a step back, especially considering the competition we continue to face from other live music events in the area.

đ MORE THAN CONCERTS
Gathering on the Green has represented more than summer concerts. With your support, we have awarded multiple scholarships to aspiring young artists at our local schools over the years, supported veterans, promoted awareness of mental health issues and hosted music education programs for young and old alike throughout the community. Something we all should be proud of was created along this amazing 30-year journey!
âAnd letâs not forget the incredible music! From the early days of Music in Motion to Al Jarreau, Huey Lewis and the News, Kenny Loggins, to Ann Wilson, the nights weâve shared under the stars will live on in our hearts.
