Working on some softcover books. I am doing the basic long stitch binding on these with a class I teach.

I need to prep the paper next. I'm excited for how they will decorate there covers. We usually paint or use paint markers.

I just went camping in Yellowstone it was a blast and love reconnecting with nature and being with my family.

Back to life and bookmarking I am preparing my area for some 7x9 size books and need to clean my tables and my work space.

Tomorrow I share and overall picture od mh space. Its a mess. As it usually is I just want to start putting things away that I dont use and build up my buisness space better.

This is a good neutral color! (: it also has some good moments where thr light catches it.

When you color match what colors are your biggest struggle?

Fixed this one. Used elastic string vs a hair tie. I didn't think the string would destabilize sooo quickly! It was crazy. I am know I can fix it now if its an issue.

I just hope there arent any more problems.

Has there been any book binding issues that you have learned something from?

Finished this beautiful book. Its a 7x9 watercolor book.

Some of my books I do a marbling type style painted cover, some I have painted paper (made with rice paste, very messy) and some I use old wall paper samples I have gotten, then I have pattern paper. I love the marbled painted covers most.

I have recently moved and don't have a well ventilated space to spray varnish them. So I have been discouraged to make more cause painting varnish is more time. Its silly but that's been my hesitation.

Do you have anything that has haulted some of your creative process??
