An Excellent Library is the next colorway from our new Pride & Prejudice Collection, coming to the shop Friday, June 5th at 4pm CT.

When Jane Bennet falls ill at Netherfield, Elizabeth comes to stay and tend to her. In the evening, the group is in the drawing room. Miss Bingley is trying (rather obviously) to attract Mr. Darcy’s attention and appear sophisticated.

She picks up a book (the second volume of one Darcy is reading), quickly grows bored, and then declares dramatically:

“I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.”

I do love some good sarcasm!

Obstinate, Headstrong Girl is the second
colorway from our new Pride & Prejudice Collection, coming to the shop Friday, June 5th at 4pm CT.

Lady Catherine de Bourgh has heard the rumor that Elizabeth and her nephew Mr. Darcy are engaged (or about to be) and has come to demand that Elizabeth deny it and promise never to accept him.

Lady Catherine is outraged, condescending, and bullying. She lists all the reasons why the match would be disastrous (social inferiority, family impropriety, etc.) and pressures Elizabeth to give up any claim to Darcy.

When Elizabeth refuses to promise anything and stands up to her, Lady Catherine explodes with:

“Obstinate, headstrong girl! I am ashamed of you! Is this your gratitude for my attentions to you last spring?”

If baby pink is the stereotypical “girl” color, this deep, dusty rose is the epitome of an obstinate, headstrong girl.

A Lady’s Imagination is the first colorway from our new Pride & Prejudice Collection, coming to the shop Friday, June 5th at 4pm CT.

Spoken by Mr. Darcy to Miss Bingley during one of the many evening parties. Mr. Darcy has been reluctantly acknowledging his growing attraction to Elizabeth Bennet. Caroline Bingley, who is flirting with him and trying to engage his attention, notices he seems distracted and asks what he is thinking about.

Darcy teasingly replies that he was thinking about the pleasure of a fine woman’s fine eyes (implying Elizabeth’s). When Miss Bingley playfully presses him about who inspired such thoughts and suggests she’ll soon be wishing him joy, Darcy responds with the famous line:

“A lady’s imagination is very rapid; it jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony in a moment.”

Inspired by dark red wine, velvet drawing rooms, and all the moody, intense looks Colin Firth’s Mr Darcy gives Elizabeth Bennet in the 1995 mini-series.

There are certain books that somehow become part of you.

The kind you revisit years later only to discover you love them completely differently than you did before.

So, after unexpectedly falling in love with Pride & Prejudice earlier this year, I found myself ardently needing to create a collection inspired by it, as one does. We also have a cross stitch kit, of course!

Coming to the shop Friday, June 5th at 4pm CT: seven new semi-solid colorways inspired by candlelit ballrooms, countryside walks, stormy skies, excellent libraries, sharp wit, and some of the most memorable lines in the book. We also have a cross stitch kit, of course!

Even amidst a techy world full of tablets and smartphones, almost every kid has that one toy they can’t let go of.

Maybe it’s a teddy bear or other stuffie, a doll, a safety blanket. Regardless of what it is, it goes everywhere with you, and sometimes ties you to someone special who loves you.

The Sock Monkey Mystery Kit is inspired by all those nostalgic childhood toys. Those childhood treasures we carried around until they were worn, faded, and loved beyond repair.

As always, each kit contains an exclusive cross stitch pattern, the hand-dyed fabric and floss to make it, a custom needle minder, and a project bag created especially for the kit.

We aim to ship these by Friday, June 19th.

The Sock Week Update goes live on Friday at 7:30pm ET/6:30pm CT!!! I’m so in love with Petal Party, our exclusive colorway for the 2026 Sock Week with . It’s full of the deep, rich colors I love to play with, and pops of sunny yellow and grassy green to balance it all out.

Our sock sets are a little bigger than your standard 100g skein with a 20g mini. Petal Party is available on our Pride and Gluttony Sock bases - each are 113g (4oz) with sparkly Pride coming in at 495 yards and Gluttony Sock at 425 yards. The Morning Glory mini skein comes in Gluttony Sock on a 40g/150 yard skein.

How much can you make with all that yarn? I’m on a mission to find out!

Using the Gluttony Sock Set, so far I’ve finished one pair of “Vanilla is the New Black” socks using Morning Glory for the heel turn and toes.

I just turned the heel on a modified Weekend Shorty Sock, using Morning Glory for the heels, cuffs, and toes, PLUS striping it with Petal Party every other row for something a little different.

It’s been several years since I’ve made socks but I think it’s safe to say that I’m re-addicted. I just can put these needles down!
