November’s Stars Hollow Yarn Club inspiration is here! Inspired by Season 1, Episode 5: Cinnamon’s Wake, this will be the first speckled color of the club! I don’t make a lot of speckled colorways, but this photo of Dean in his Doose’s Market apron and maroon sweater is just begging for it.

Fall weather, of course, also makes me want to start all the sweaters. (Okay, let's be honest - I never actually stop making all the sweaters).

Genesis is the yarn I designed with the mill who makes the majority of the bases I use in hand-dyeing. They use the same superwash merino except they dyed it in the wool, blended it with some grey to make a very subtle heathering, and put it up in ready-to-use balls.

Genesis is a fi*****ng weight yarn with 195 yards per 50 grams, and is just $6 per ball!

There are a lot of variables that go into how *your* skein of yarn will look in *your* project, the most important of which is your gauge, stitch pattern, and number of stitches per row.
There’s no better way to see what a skein of hand-dyed yarn (especially those variegated ones) looks like than a swatch!
We take swatching very seriously. With help from my mom, we have swatches available in almost every colorway, in knit and crochet!
