Meet the cast and crew of Matilda Jr! We can't wait for you to see this amazing show! If you'd like to purchase sparkler shoutouts for any cast / crew member, they are open through October 11th!

As a fundraiser for NSPA, parents, friends, and loved ones will be able to purchase "Sparklers" for our cast and crew. These include any special congratulations, kudos, or shoutouts to any cast or crew member of their choosing. Sparklers are $10 a piece, and any one cast or crew member who sells the most sparklers will win a prize! Sparkler sales end on Oct 11.

Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence... and special powers! She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however - the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!

Auditions for our Spring show HEATHERS : TEEN EDITION are now open! We are so excited to head back to Westerburg High School 4 years later with a brand new cast!

This audition process will take place over 3 days, there is a breakdown of how each day will go and how cuts will be made on our website! There will be no online auditions available for this production. If you need to join us for an alternate vocal audition date (Nov 2) please let our Artistic Director know via email by Oct. 15.

Heathers The Musical: Teen Edition is the darkly delicious story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: the Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerously handsome new kid J.D. When Heather Chandler, the Almighty, kicks her out of the group, Veronica decides to bite the bullet and kiss Heather’s aerobicized butt... but J.D. has another plan for that bullet.

We’re so happy to celebrate our 6th birthday today! Over the past 6 years NSPA has presented: 14 season shows, 5 camp shows, 3 dinner theater productions , 15 classes & 8 festival showcases! We have served hundreds of youth in the Memphis area with not only opportunities on-stage, but several off stage opportunities such as youth-led production teams, camp counselor positions, and our teen council. We’re so proud of all we’ve done and SO grateful to all who have made NSPA such a special community!

We hope you all will join us this season by attending our production of Matilda Jr this fall and our upcoming auditions for Heathers : Teen Edition!

Congratulations to our JTF 2026 troupe! This super talented ensemble will be traveling to Atlanta in January to perform Matilda Jr for adjudications!

In addition to competing, students will take various musical theater workshops and see different performances of up and coming shows to hit the Broadway Junior stage, as well as shows that are hot on the stage in NYC! Plus SO much more! We’re so excited for this crew!!!

We are so excited to announce that auditions for Matilda Jr are only a few weeks away!

Matilda Jr will be our fall production as well as our Junior Theater Festival 2026 production! Our audition on August 16th will be a double audition for both casts! You'll be able to select which casts you're auditioning for upon signing up! You can choose either both productions or just one.

There will be a JTF information meeting on August 9th if you'd like to know more about our trip before auditions happen!

We can't wait to see you all there!
