🎉 THE HOLLY IS 96 TODAY! 🎉
On August 29, 1930, the Holly Theatre first opened its doors in the heart of downtown Medford.
After decades of history, years of restoration and an extraordinary community effort, the Holly reopened in March 2025. Now, just over a year later, this beautifully restored cultural landmark is once again alive with music, comedy, film, community events and audiences from across Southern Oregon and beyond.
And what a year it has been!
The Olsrud Family Auditorium has welcomed extraordinary artists, local organizations and thousands of guests through its doors. With every performance, people come downtown, dine in our restaurants, stay in our hotels, shop in local businesses and contribute to the economic vitality of our community.
The Holly is more than a theatre. It is a cultural landmark, a gathering place and an important part of downtown Medford’s continued growth.
Today, we celebrate everyone who made the restoration and reopening of the Holly possible, and everyone who continues to keep it alive by attending a show, becoming a member, volunteering, donating and bringing someone new through our doors.
So how do you celebrate the Holly’s 96th birthday? Come be part of it.
