Visions, vacations, and a vapid princess. Experience TheatreMcLean’s production of Head Over Heels the musical. Featuring music from the Go-Gos, this jukebox musical follows the journey of the royal family of Arcadia as they leave their kingdom to flee from the unfavorable prophecies prescribed to them by the Oracle. Watch as King Basilius and Queen Gynecia, accompanied by their daughters Pamela and Philoclea, try and escape their fate, learning lessons of love, loss, and loyalty along the way.

The production runs from April 28 through May 1 at McLean High School. “Get Up and Go” buy tickets, $8 for students and $15 for adults, which can be purchased at theatremclean.org.

Check out these Performing Arts and Tech Theatre scholarships for high school seniors, awarded annually by the Reston Community Players. Application window remains open until May 13.

RCP feels strongly in giving back to the community that sustains us. One way we do that is by offering annual scholarships to local high school seniors who intend to study the performing or technical arts in college.

Our scholarship application window is now open. Applications are due May 13.

Scholarships — Anthony Quinn Foundation

Looking for a scholarship to help pay for a summer theatre, dance, or voice performing arts program?

The Anthony Quinn Foundation Scholarship is an annual competition for high school students that provides funding up to $2,500 for the awardees to attend summer intensive arts programs.

A competitive award program, applicants must demonstrate exceptional talent, dedication and a strong commitment to personal artistic growth and must be enrolled in high school. Applications are reviewed by a panel of judges, comprised of professional artists and art educators who are independent of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

In order to qualify for an AQF Scholarship, the following items must be submitted by the following deadlines:
