Toledo Young Playwrights Festival Announces Call for Submissions for November Showcase
TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo Young Playwrights Festival is officially inviting young creative voices from across the region to submit original scripts for its upcoming showcase in November. The festival, which celebrates the storytelling talents of local youth, is open to all students from elementary through high school.
This year’s event provides a unique platform for aspiring writers to see their work brought to life on stage. Selected plays will be featured in professional-style performances, with each production limited to a 20-minute runtime. Playwrights will be given the chance to collaborate, workshop, and see their stories come to life.
To encourage participation across all age levels, the festival will award prizes in three distinct divisions:
Elementary Division
Junior High Division
High School Division
“We want to give every student, whether they are just starting to write or are seasoned high school dramatists, the chance to hear their words spoken by actors and shared with a live audience,” said Dan Stanton, Development Manager at In Addition Productions.
