Over the last several weeks we let the crew share a little bit about themselves so itss only fair that this week's spotlight comes from the name on the Logo
Matt Cooper aka DJ Matt

Q. How did you get into the DJ business?

A. Hanging out at The Red Dog Saloon one night i walked up to DJ Denny and made a song request... he was looking to find someone that could take over when he retired in the near future, he looked at me and said "Hey, you're here a lot & seem to know music pretty well... youwant a job doing this?" So I gave it some thought and accepted it

Q. What is your favorite part about being a DJ and entertaining a crowd?

A. The interaction & mingling with the crowd, over the years i have made several very close friendships just from having conversations with people who show up at shows, sometimes those people may even get a random text on a Tuesday afternoon if I hear a song and I think they should give it a try next time they come in for Karaoke

Q. What's one thing people might not know about you outside of DJing?

A. This is a tough one I'm a pretty open book
I guess not everyone knows that I used to do electrical work before I got pretty seriously hurt on the job
I was working on a 208v lighting housing and the lockout at the bottom of the light pole was faulty so a surge went through and I was 30ft up in a bucket truck but my hand was on the outside of the housing so when it surged it entered in through my left ring finger an exited through my right palm
I can't say for sure how long I was actually being shocked there was about 15 minutes i cant account for but I remember everything going white and then I started to come too and knew I had to get help.

🎤 Meet The Team Monday 🎤

This Weeks Spotlight is James Miller aka DJ Cooter

Q. How did you get into the DJ business?

A. I got into DjIng back in 1997 when a couple of my friends wanted open a club in the basement of a bar in Fremont Ohio. My friend Scott Pirrwitz taught me how to mix music on cds and vinyl. It's been a wild ride for the last 29 years!!!

Q. What ir your favorite part about being a DJ and entertaining a crowd?

A. I enjoy setting a vibe for the evening weather it be a wedding, karaoke night, a car show, or a private party and watching everybody start to feel the music and bobbing their heads or dancing till they can't dance anymore.

Q. What is one thing people might nor know about you outside of DJing?

A. I have quite successful outside of DJing with my day job of cutting trees for the last 20 years. I currently work for Berens Tree Serevice for the last 11 years and I truly love being outside in all types of weather doing a job I love!!!!
