Paint a rock, hide a rock, find a rock...post on Facebook and see where your Rocks travel to!! Marytown's very own painted-rock scavenger hunt. My goal is to get as many around the world as we can to participate to help keep the hunt going. ANYONE can be a rock artist regardless of age or talent level‼️Read below for painting, hiding and hunting tips.

S OR ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES! IT IS ILLEGAL TO DO SO. 🌟🌟🌟
🎨Rock art holds up best if you use acrylic paint and then use a clear sealer to protect it from the outside elements.
🎨Remember to label the rock with the name of our Facebook group Marytown Rocks. This will lead rock finders to our group where hopefully they'll post a picture of their treasure.
🎨When painting rocks we ask that you keep our misson pure. Keep them clean and free of hate. Political rocks should be avoided as they tend to disrupt the intentions of the group.
🎨Avoid hiding rocks on private property or in cemeteries and burial grounds.
🎨Avoid hiding inside businesses or UNLESS you have been granted permission by a manager or owner.
🎨Feel free to post pictures of your painted rocks. We'd LOVE to see everyone's masterpieces!
🎨If you want to help lead rock hunters to your hidden rocks you can post hints or pictures of your rocks in their hiding places to the group wall.
🎨You may also choose to hide them secretly & wait for someone to stumble upon your hidden treasure. If you choose to keep a rock, please replace it with another painted rock.
🎨Please post pictures of rocks that you find if you can. The artists LOVE to see if their treasures are found. It's also fun to see where they end up after they're found.
🎨If you choose to rehide them, it can be in the same area or in a new place altogether.
🎨If you choose to keep your treasure try to commit to replacing it with one of your own (at the same time, or at some point in the future). This helps to keep as many rocks in circulation as possible so more people can participate
