My daughter dressed up today to do chores... apparently dressing up made it better to do. She said it was just like she was Elsa... I'm not even sure that she's ever seen Cinderella...anyway, she was happy to do chores dressed up, so today's helpful tip of the week is to dress up and do those chores! Get those brain muscles confused and manic clean till its done! You're welcome 😅🤣

Something I have enjoyed doing lately is making my own salsa!!!! Mostly because I don't like chunky salsa, and finding the perfect salsa is HARD! I found this recipe on Pinterest, and now you can make your own salsa too... i did add some extra spice 😉

I borrowed this picture from Pinterest...I have a couple of blankets that I want to turn into clothing!

I LOVE collecting blankets and pillows! Even though im not a huge blanket person, I love having the comfort of a blanket. But there are 2 that I have that don't really fit the comfort area of their intended purpose. So clothes they are becoming!

I have a blanket, its white and we know how i feel about white, so I plan to dye it, and convert it to a cocoon sweater. But for this pattern, I have a really thin blanket I got at a beachside market in Costa Rica.

Back in 2014, I had gone on a mission trip to San Isidro Costa Rica. A group went to minister to the people, and share the good news of Jesus Christ! It was a beautiful place, and i remember hearing that that place was around the 4 most satanic city in Costa Rica. During the day we went to schools, hospitals, and public settings talking about Jesus and what He did for all. At night we held events that would draw huge crowds. By the end of the week over 4000 had given their lives to Christ, and were connected to a local church to continue their walk with God.

Somewhere in that 10 day trip, we had a free day, and took in the local culture. Thats where I got the blanket I plan to use for this pattern. I dont know that I have ever actually used it for a blanket lol but I have kept it all these years!

Its definitely time to make it into something that is more useful than a memory! So stay tuned for a future reveal!
