Today is November 10, 2025. Fifty years ago, on this date, the Edmund Fitzgerald, a 729 foot steam-powered cargo vessel went down in a November Gale, just a few miles north of Whitefish Point.

This Thursday Night! Sept 25 -- 7pm I'll be singing of Lake Superior at the "superb" Ore Dock Brewing Company in Marquette MI. Members of the Grand Island Shanty Club, and lots of other friends from the U.P. are planning to join me. Everyone is invited. Your $10 donation benefits the Marquette Maritime Museum. Local brews like "Bum's Beach Nitro" and "Concrete Zamboni" available on tap, to grease your pipes for shanty singing and stories.
