Our version of this soul/R&B classic written by Emilio Castilla for his Oakland-based band; Tower Of Power. Originally released in 1973, it still resonates today. Well done, Emilio!

Here's our version of the swing classic (from the soundtrack) "What If I Loved You". We recorded this about 10 years ago at The Georgia Club in Statham, GA.

Back in 2012 a group of friends and fellow musicians had in idea to come together and form a band centered around classic, old-school R&B, Soul and Carolina Beach Music. That was the genesis of The Weekend Getaway Band almost 15 years ago.

Since then, WGB has been blessed to play at outdoor festivals, concert halls and dance clubs around the Southeast. A huge thank you to all of our friends and fans for your support. Here's a compilation of songs from some of those early concerts.
