About this event

We are going to be commemorating the 21st Anniversary of 9/11 in a special way. At Cobb International Airport we will be holding Airaoke! A local karaoke contest. Proceeds benefit the Georgia Firefighters (via the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund). The format will be like The Price is Right. We will call 10 singers an hour to perform. In the 9:00 hour, we will bring back 4 of the 40 singers for the finals. While votes are being tabulated, we will have a moment of silence and possibly sing God Bless the USA. The winner of the contest will receive $1000.00 in cash. Only 40 singers will be chosen from all applicants. Silent Auction and door prizes will also be included in the commeration.

Six years ago, Airaoke started with a simple idea, a passionate crew, and an actual airplane hangar. As we mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and year 6 of Airaoke, let's give some love to the person who has been the driving force behind this creative fundraiser for a great cause: Chuck Burge

For six months out of every single year, Chuck lives and breathes Airaoke. If you spend time in Kennesaw or anywhere across Cobb County, you have probably seen him logging his 10,000+ daily steps. He is on the ground every day visiting local businesses, meeting with civic leaders, securing sponsorships, and gathering silent auction items. All of it serves one mission: supporting the families of our first responders through the 9/11 Fallen Hero Project.

From those early hangar days of competitive karaoke, Chuck’s dedication to our community and our heroes has never wavered. He sets the pace, rallies the troops, and reminds us why this night matters.

Chuck, thank you for six incredible years of sweat equity, vision, and heart. Airaoke simply does not happen without you.

Drop a comment below to send Chuck some love or DM us to learn how you or your business can get involved.
