Marblehead Little Theatre continues its Summer Play Reading Series Friday August 28th with THE MENDER!

Come see Marblehead High School's Ashley Skeffington and members of MHS Drama present the powerful play they devised and performed earlier this year for Drama Fest.

Three siblings during the Vietnam War, facing a nation divided, discover their differing personal beliefs, what it means to be American, and family bonds. Years later their children come together after a startling discovery.

All play readings begin at 7:00pm and are free to the public. Doors open at 6:30pm.

Tickets available at www.mltlive.org.

Three years. One feature film. A red-carpet premiere to remember.

More than two dozen Marblehead High School students and recent graduates celebrated the premiere of "Gilded Lily" at the Warwick Theater after spending three years writing, filming and editing the 90-minute feature.

The film — shot across Marblehead and the North Shore—was created entirely by students and drew a packed house of family, friends and supporters for its debut.

💬 “It was very gratifying... It was just great to see,” writer and co-director Matías Watts Cruz said after the screening.

🎥 Missed the premiere? The film has a second public screening Monday, July 13, at the Warwick.

Greg Dana’s connection to Marblehead High School theater stretches back to 1965, when, as a shy freshman, he was talked into auditioning for “Little Mary Sunshine.” He landed the role of a forest ranger — and never really left. Aside from college and a two-year stint in the military, Dana re...

What amazing year for the performing arts at MHS! 🎭🎶❤️🖤

From Mamma Mia! and Acappellooza to winter and spring concerts, Christmas Walk performances, student theater productions, cabaret nights, and more, our students have shared so much talent, creativity, and joy with the Marblehead community this year.

These experiences are made possible through the dedication of our incredible students and teachers, along with the support of families, volunteers, and our broader community. Friends of the Performing Arts is proud to support these programs throughout the year, helping with production and transportation costs, scholarships, tech week and pre-concert dinners, promotion and decor, and other behind-the-scenes needs that help our students shine.

As we wrap up another wonderful season, we hope you’ll consider making a gift to FoPA’s Spring Donation Drive. Every contribution — large or small — directly supports opportunities for MHS student performers and helps our performing arts programs thrive.
