Hosted at the Maple Valley Creative Arts Center, Voice in the Valley's Contemporary Vocal Camp is the perfect opportunity for young performers to build confidence, develop their vocal skills, and have a blast on stage!

Campers will explore contemporary singing, choreography, mic technique, performance skills, and storytelling while working on solo and ensemble pieces.

🌈 What a fantastic day at the Maple Valley Pride in the Park event!

The Maple Valley Creative Arts Council had a wonderful time connecting with our community through a colorful and creative paint-by-dot mural activity designed by our talented Board Member and muralist, Jackie Riedel.

A special thank you to Mary Jane Glaser and Shannon Brannon, who spent quality time helping participants add their unique touches to the artwork. It was inspiring to watch people of all ages come together to create something beautiful, one dot at a time.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, painted with us, shared a smile, and celebrated creativity, community, and inclusion. We are grateful to be part of such a welcoming and vibrant event.

🎨🎶 Maple Valley Days Arts Festival is right around the corner! 🎶🎨

Join us June 13–14 at the Lake Wilderness Lodge during Maple Valley Days for a celebration of art, music, and creativity!

The Arts Festival features a fantastic lineup of musicians performing on the hour, every hour, creating the perfect backdrop while you explore beautiful artwork from talented local artists and artisans. Many pieces will be available for purchase, making this a wonderful opportunity to discover something unique and support the arts.

✨ From Idea to Impact ✨

What happens when a young person has a creative idea and a place to share it?

Meet Pearl Thomas, a student at Tahoma High School, who brought her vision to the Maple Valley Creative Arts Council Youth Arts Committee. She pitched an idea to host summer theater programming — and now she is entering her second year of helping lead exciting summer arts events!

This summer, Pearl is helping bring:

🐠☀️ Summer is calling… and our Summer Theatre Camp is almost FULL! ☀️🐠

Give your child an unforgettable experience this summer with Disney’s Finding Nemo Kids! Campers will spend a fun-filled week exploring acting, singing, movement, and creativity while building confidence and making new friends.

📅 August 17–21
⏰ 9 a.m.–2 p.m. daily
🎭 Incoming 3rd–6th graders

This week-long camp includes five hours of theatre fun each day and culminates in scheduled performances at the end of the week so families can celebrate all the hard work and talent on stage!

Thanks to support from 4Culture, tuition has been reduced from $300 to $200 per attendee, helping make summer arts experiences more accessible for local families. Limited confidential scholarship assistance may also be available through the MVCAC at [email protected].

🎨 The Maple Valley Arts Festival Needs Volunteers! 🎭

Are you looking for a fun way to give back, meet new people, and be part of one of our community’s favorite events? We’re looking for volunteers to help with event setup, artist assistance, hospitality, and other fun festival activities during the upcoming Maple Valley Arts Festival!

Whether you can help for a few hours or several days, we’d love to have you join the team. It’s a great opportunity to support the arts, connect with the community, and be part of an exciting and rewarding event experience.

High school students — if you need to complete community service hours, this could be the perfect opportunity to mark off a few volunteer hours while being part of a fun local event!

If you love to paint and have a little free time, check out their sign-up sheet and come help bring an exciting new mural to life. We are currently seeking artists and textile artisans to display and sell their work during the festival weekend of June 13–14. If you’ve been sitting on the fence about signing up, now is the time to jump in!

Last night was filled with incredible talent, unforgettable performances, and so much heart from every contestant who stepped onto the stage. We are beyond proud of all of these amazing young performers for sharing their voices and courage with our community. 💛

We would be remiss if we didn’t give a huge shout out to our judges Fleur Woods, Erina McLauren, Taryn Sweeney and Lauren Kasianas! And for the special performances by past Idol Jr. winners: Kaiya Beffelen and Violet Heller and to everyone who attended, cheered, voted, and supported these young artists. What an unforgettable evening celebrating music, creativity, and community! 🎶
