🔥 WHAT A NIGHT AT Bradley Bourbonnais Sportsmen's Club, Inc. 🔥
Last night we got to hang out at the club for their Pork Chop Night. Which, from what we could tell, was a pretty successful new endeavor! 🐷🎶
This show actually happened thanks to longtime Not Yet superfan Jim and his friend Mark, who caught us at the Legion, loved what they heard, and decided to go in together to bring us out to the BBSC. Seriously... THANK YOU, Jim and Mark. ❤️ That means more to us than you know.
Now… let’s talk about THAT CROWD.
Was it the biggest crowd we’ve ever played for? Nope.
Did they SOUND and ACT like we were playing a freaking arena?
Umm.... YES
It was in the upper 50s, we were outside in the pavilion, and these people did not care. 😂 They sang. They danced. They cheered. They screamed. They sang in each other’s faces. They gave us EVERYTHING, and we fed off every bit of it.
Seriously, can we just take that exact group of people and bring them to every Not Yet show from now on?? Because WOW. 🤘😂
Of course we were comfortable, lol. We’re up there jumping around, sweating and burning approximately 47,000 calories. But you guys were out there in the chilly air generating your own heat. 🔥
And when a crowd gives us that kind of energy, something happens to the band, too. We loosen up. We experiment. We start putting our own little twists into songs we’ve all heard a million times. And suddenly it stops feeling like we’re just playing covers and starts feeling like ours.
That is one of my absolute favorite things about playing with these guys.
Aaron was an absolute beast behind the drums, as always. 🥁 Luca continues to grow, experiment and bring more and more creativity into what he does every time we play. 🎸 And a HUGE shout-out to the Rastaman who started feeling sick during the night and STILL fought his way through the entire show on bass. 💪❤️
There are nights when everything just clicks. The band, the crowd, the energy, the music. Last night was one of them.
Thank you again to Jim and Mark for making this night happen, thank you to Bradley Bourbonnais Sportsmen’s Club for having us, and THANK YOU to every single person who bundled up, hung out with us, sang with us, danced with us and completely lost your minds with us.
You guys were AMAZING.
