🐘Athletics’ Shea Langeliers Tears Meniscus, Could Miss Remainder of Season⚾️

The Athletics catcher was a force on both sides amid injuries to Brent Rooker and Nick Kurtz along with stopping stolen bases.

Despite the 44-60 record, Langeliers in 93 games recorded 51 RBIs and 23 home runs with or without support from Rooker or Kurtz.

Langeliers came to the A’s back in 2022 in a trade with the Atlanta Braves in exchange for Matt Olsen. He’s proven to be a strong catcher even through the team’s final years in Oakland.

If he elects to have surgery to repair his meniscus, he will miss the rest of the season

His status if backed up is to be determined with the potential trade of teammate, Jonah Heim.

Salvador Perez Hits 318th Home Run, Passing George Brett for Most in Royals History⚾️

Perez tied Brett’s record for home runs against the Giants just three days ago before today’s milestone and 3-2 over Detroit.

It happened in the bottom of the seventh inning where Kansas City was trailing 2-1 against the Tigers. Perez slammed the ball out over Kyle Finnegan to tie the game and break the record.

Despite the team’s performance this season, the 2015 World Series MVP did not let the fight to break the record lead him astray.

Perez now ranks third behind Aaron Judge (385) and Mike Trout (422) for the most home runs by players active for one team.

Patrick Mahomes Gets Cleared to Practice Months After ACL and LCL Tears🏈

The 3x Super Bowl champion quarterback will participate in training camp seven months removed from his injuries.

In 14 games last season, Mahomes threw for 3,587 yards, 22 touchdowns and 11 interceptions including that Week 15 loss to the Chargers.

With this clearance, there is more optimism growing about Mahomes starting Week 1 against the Broncos.

The WNBA is expanding its regular season schedule from 44 games this year to 50 games beginning with the 2027 season, the league announced.

This expansion was allowed under the new CBA, which also stated the season can end no later than November 21.
