Looking forward to some clay play after work today. We all spent the night at the fair yesterday so these waited for me butnim@coming soon.

I need to stop playing here and get to work on some wall alters I have slabs waiting for. But first I must transport teens to the mall for social entertainment. So far this day off has been perfectly perfect. Light rain. Overcast skies. Birds calling and clay all around

Had an hour of mri today so I got to leave at ten am and once home got to my studio. I have the next two days off in a ROW?! What! Excitement is high. I haven’t had a weekend off in months so I have plans and slabs setting up for wall alters. Wooohooo!

Had to start anew so I figured some playing was in order. Trying out Tortuga • Pottery Tools and liking what I’m seeing so far. This piece wasn’t quite the right wetness but again I’m playing. Can’t wait to play after the bisque firing more. Maybe I’ll do a sgraffito piece while I’m at it. I made some of these bowl form that aren’t my usual feel so they are perfect for learning and having fun.

Feels like a rough start but everything is like that when you’ve been away a long time. I see the weather is going to be cooler soon which is much needed so I can abscond to the studio and finalize kiln repairs and electrification. Plus I need to make some stuff NEED TO NEEEEEEEED 🦐🥳♥️.

I’m painting cup y’all. Trimming more bowls this morning before the sun came up because my -insert big box store- job has me at work by 6am and I apparently have adjusted. I used to be a full time night owl but now I’m a 4am owl. It’s been so hot it’s works out. Still can’t put a lot time in at the wheel since I got hurt …hands and feet turn purple and go numb… short sessions only. Still waiting on any help. It’s been 97 days since my injury and I’ve yet to have anyone help in any measurable way. The work comp struggle is real. It won’t stop me from short bursts of clay.
