As summer theatre winds down we look forward to fall productions! The high schools usually get their fall plays going in October and November but we get to have Bismarck State College Theatre's Daddy Long Legs in September!

🎭 BSC Theatre is proud to announce the cast of our upcoming production of Daddy Long Legs: The Musical!

Both Peyton and Max are talented BSC Theatre students who were individually nominated in performances for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship Competition. At last year’s Region 5 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, Peyton—joined by Max as her acting partner—advanced to the semifinal round of the Irene Ryan Competition.

This intimate two-person production will also serve as a special capstone project for these two incredible BSC Theatre students, celebrating their artistic growth, dedication, and accomplishments during their time at Bismarck State College.

Based on Jean Webster’s beloved novel, Daddy Long Legs follows Jerusha Abbott, a bright and spirited young orphan whose life is transformed when an anonymous benefactor sends her to college. Told through a series of heartfelt letters, the musical is a touching and witty story of education, independence, self-discovery, and unexpected love.

This production also marks the Grand Opening of the new Rogers Black Box Theatre, a beautiful new home for storytelling, creativity, and artistic exploration at Bismarck State College. We are honored to open this remarkable space with a musical that celebrates the transformative power of kindness, education, and human connection.

In November of 2027, Victor Hugo’s timeless story of hope, redemption, sacrifice, courage, and the enduring power of love will come to life on the stage of the Advanced Technology Center Theatre at Bismarck State College.

From its soaring score and unforgettable characters to its breathtaking moments of humanity, Les Misérables has inspired audiences around the world for generations. We cannot wait to share this extraordinary theatrical experience with our students, our community, and audiences from across the region.

This is more than a production, it will be an EVENT.
