වසන්තය එනවා..
ඩැන්ඩිලයින් පිපෙනවා
යන්න කලියෙන්,
සීත කාලෙදි
කවි ලියන්නට
පින්තූරයක් මම ගන්නවා

ආයෙමත් වසන්තය එනවා
හරිත යායක කහ බිංදු ඉහිනවා
මගේ ඇස් පිනනවා..
මගේ හිත නිවෙනවා...

විටෙක ගීයක් මිමිනෙනවා
ඉඳ හිට පින්තූරයක් වදිනවා
කවියකුත් ලියවෙනවා
හිතුනොත් පල කරනවා

හැබැයි,දැන්
ඒ පින්තූර මම මකනවා
ඒ කවි මට අමතක වෙනවා!

ඔව්,
ඩැන්ඩිලයින් හෙටත් පිපෙනවා
ඒත්,
ඒ මොහොතේ ලස්සන විතරක් මම විඳිනවා 🙂

**Dandelions Bloom ~**

Spring has sprung
dandelions bloom—
before they drift away,
in winter’s hush,
to write a poem,
I capture a picture.

Spring comes again,
scattering yellow dots
across a field of green;
my eyes are filled…
my heart grows still…

At times, a melody hums,
now and then a picture clicks
a poem begins to write itself—
and if I feel like it, I let it be shared.

But now—
those pictures, I erase,
those poems, I forget!

Yes,
dandelions will bloom again tomorrow—
and yet,
in that moment,
I simply live the beauty.!

අවුරුදු කතා #1

අවුරුදු ලබන්නට කලින් ගෙවල් දොරවල් පිරිසිදු කරන එක සිරිතක්නේ. ඉතින් අපි ලවා සියලු අවශේශ කුන්ඩවාල ටික කරගන්න එක අම්මගේ සහ අක්කගේ එකම අභිලාශය.ඒ වාත වැඩ සෙට් එකෙන් මේක තමා අපි ආසම!
ඉස්සරම ගෙදර තිබුනේ පොලිශ් සිමෙන්ති පොලවක්.ඉතින් ගේ සෝදන වැඩේ එකෙන්ම මමයි අයියයි නංගී භාර ගන්නවා. අයියා මේ වගේ මාව මොප් එක වශයෙන් ධාවනය කරන අතර මොප් හෙඩ් එක වශයෙන් මම රෙදි කෑල්ලක් අල්ලන් ඉන්නවා. නංගී මමයි මාරුවෙන් මාරුවට මොප් එක වෙනවා. 🤩
එක එක අතට කරකව කව,එහෙ මෙහෙ වද්ද වද්ද බොහොම විනෝදෙන් පටන් ගන්න මේ සෙල්ලම ඉවර වෙන්නේ එකෙක් ඔලුව හප්පගෙන, අනිකා පස්ස බිම ඇනගෙන, අයියා සෙට් එක පුටු කකුලක වද්දගෙන, ගුටි කෙලගෙන අඬාගෙන ආවම අන්තිමට තුන් දෙනාම එලවලා දාලා අක්කා තනියම ගේම ක්ලෝස් කරන්න බැස්සට පස්සේ. 🫢😂

දැන් කාපට් එලපු ගෙදරක ඉන්න නිසාද මන්දා මට මේවා වැඩිපුරත් එක්ක මතක් වෙනවා 🥹

No phones back then to snap our madness, thanks to AI, this memory finally got its photo! 🫠🥰

Cleaning the house before the New Year was a must! So, it’s always been my mom’s and elder sister’s greatest desire to get all the leftover junk cleared out. Among all the tasks in that cleaning crew, this was the most fun and exciting part for us.

Back in the day, our house had polished cement floors. Later, it was tiled. Anyway, the cleaning job was mainly handled by me, my brother, and my little sister. My brother would basically use me like a mop.😛

he’d push me around while I held a rag like a mop head. My sister and I would take turns being the mop.
Swinging from side to side, wiping here and there, this playful cleaning game would usually end with one of us bumping our heads, someone landing flat on the floor, and my brother crashing into a chair leg in the most unfortunate way possible 🥴😂
Eventually, we’d all get kicked out, and our elder sister would be the one left to “officially” clean alone at the end! 🤭😃

A Sri Lankan writes, as spring draws near in America 🌸🌿🌷

In my country, flowers always bloomed,
The sun always shone the same way,
And birds always sang in the trees of our garden.
The tea my mother made always tasted the same,
And we devoured Grandma’s rice straight from the pot even if it was cold

I always wondered why the translated storybooks I read as a child
Spoke so highly of spring blossoms,
Of the scorching summer sun on the beach,
Of the warmth of a cup of coffee in winter
Or the taste of Grandma’s turnip soup. 🍵

Now, I feel like reading those books again,
To experience those emotions, just as they were. 😌😊

But I realize, no matter how much we read,
We never truly feel until we live through it ourselves.
And even then, each experience is our own,
Never quite the same as another’s.

We read, we listen, we imagine
But true understanding only comes with experience.
And even then, we will never fully understand another person’s world!

වසන්තයට අත වනමින්, ඇමරිකාවේ සිට ලියමි 🌸🌼🌷

මගේ රටේ කවදත් මල් පිපුනා
එක විදිහට ඉර පෑයුවා
වත්තේ පලතුරු ගස් වල කවදත් කුරුල්ලෝ කෑ ගැහුවා.
අම්මා හදන තේක කවදත් එක ගානකට තිබුනා
අත්තම්මගේ බත් එක හීල් පිටම අපි ගිලලා දැම්මා..

පොඩි කාලේ කියවපු පරිවර්තන කතා පොත් වල
වසන්තයේ පිපෙන මල් ගැන
ගිම්හානයේ වෙරලක අවුව තපින විදිහ ගැන
සිසිරයේ උනුසුම් කෝපි කෝප්පයක උනුසුම
අත්තාමාගේ ටනිප් සුප් එකේ රසය ගැන
එතරම් ඉහලින් කියන්නේ ඇයි කියලා මම කවදත් පුදුම උනා.

ඒ පොත් ආයේමත් ආපහු කියවන්න
මට දැන් ආස හිතෙනවා. ඒ හැගීම් ඒ විදිහටම කියවන්න 😌

දැන් මට තේරෙනවා,
අපි කියවනවා, අහනවා, සිතනවා..
නමුත් සැබෑ අවබෝධය එන්නේ අත්දැකීමෙන් විතරයි.

ඒක එහෙම උනත්, අපිට කවදාවත් තවත් කෙනෙකුගේ ලෝකය සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම තේරෙන්නේ නැහැ!

සමහර විට බණ පදයකින් නැත්නම් විහිලුවකින්
අවකාශය දීමෙන් හෝ ඉඩක් නොතියාම වැලදගැන්මකින්

ඉතා වේගයෙන් භ්‍රමණය වන විදුලි පංකාවක් නොපෙනෙන ලෙස පෙනේ.
ඒ කියන්නේ එය ඒ මොහොතේ නොපවතින බවද?

අපට යමක් නිරීක්ෂණය කිරීමට සහ මැනීමට ඇති හැකියාව කාලය හා වේගය මත රඳා පවතී.

සාපේක්ෂතාවාදයේ දී, කාලය නිරපේක්ෂ නොවේ. ශක්තිමත් ගුරුත්වාකර්ෂණ ක්ෂේත්‍රවල හෝ අධික වේගයෙන් චලනය වන වස්තූන් කාලය වෙනස් ලෙස අත්විඳිති. මෙයින් අදහස් කරන්නේ විවිධ නිරීක්ෂකයින්ට වස්තුවක පැවැත්ම වෙනස් ලෙස වටහා ගත හැකි බවයි.

කෙසේ වුවත් පංකාවේ චලිතය මිනිස් මනසට බොහෝ සෙයින් සමානයි. එය ඉතා වේගයෙන් භ්‍රමණය වන විට, පැහැදිලිකම අඩු වේ.වේගවත් සිතුවිලි වලින් යටපත් වූ මනසකට අවධානය සහ නිරවද්‍යතාවය නැති විය හැකි ආකාරයටම!

A fan that spins too fast appears invisible.
Does that mean they don’t exist in those moments?

Our ability to observe and measure something depends on time and speed

In relativity, time is not absolute. Objects in strong gravitational fields or moving at high speeds experience time differently. This means an object’s existence could be perceived differently by different observers.

Anyway, the motion of the fan is much like the human mind. When it spins too quickly, details are lost, and clarity diminishes. Just as a mind overwhelmed by rapid thoughts can lose focus and precision. 😌
