As a contingent of the Michigan folk music scene for almost two decades, Misty Lyn Bergeron has penned haunting melodies over simple arrangements that traverse the gothic, literary fringes of American roots music. Pulling from a wealth of vivid subject matter, her songs are cathartic and poetically rich works that approach sometimes difficult topics such as death, loss, heartache, and healing. Recently, there has been a noticeable shift toward love, light, and hope in her music, while still maintaining a deep connection with the things that are lost and those that are fading.

Members of the Big Beautiful include Matt Jones (drums, vocals), Ryan Gimpert (guitar), Mary Fraser (keys, vocals), Carol Catherine Gray (violin, vocals, percussion), and Timothy Monger (bass).

The band has completed three studio albums, "For the Dead" (2009), and "False Honey" (2012), and the latest "Narrows", released in January of 2023. There is also a previously unreleased, unfinished full-length album titled “Alms For Sots” which was recorded before Narrows, the rough tracks of which are available on Bandcamp only.

Misty Lyn has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with such notable acts as Kris Kristofferson, Pete Seeger, and Marshall Crenshaw.

A local teen band from Chelsea, these guys rocked the stage last year and are back to do it again at 2026 River Rhythm Music and Arts Festival!! July 31 - August 2

Kedron is an energetic group taking inspiration from a blend of Americana, folk, and country music! The local high school band, hailing from Chelsea, Michigan, consists of a guitar player, a bassist, a violinist, a vocalist, and sometimes even a banjolele player. Together, these young musicians have created a unique sound that blends silky smooth vocals and thick harmonies with gritty guitar, blazing fiddle lines, exciting banjolele fills, and even the occasional bass solo. In the words of Brenda Scott Marshall from the Life in Michigan magazine, Kedron is “simply outstanding.” Come hear them for yourself at River Rhythm!
