Rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme…You better get me to school on time! Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock – The Musical is a two-hour, two-act show (plus intermission), based on the hit movie. The tuner follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight–A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out?
Auditions will be 2/3 from 5:30pm-9:30pm & 2/4 from 9am-1pm. Callbacks will be 2/5 from 1pm-4pm.

School of Rock will be performed at Gregory Family Theater in the Hylton Performing Arts Center.
Show Dates:

Rehearsals will be held Mondays and Wednesdays at Baldwin Elementary School from 6pm – 8:30pm and Saturdays at the ARTfactory from 9am – 1 pm.

Our Introduction to Vocal Musical Theatre Class begins on Tuesday, January 3 at 5 p.m. We still have openings in the class. This course is designed to provide a foundation of healthy singing technique for students ages students 8-12. The class is taught by Chelsea Majors. Please see our website to register.

Continuing our battle from our summer adventure, the leaders of the realm call our intrepid party to reconvene to save the kingdom! Having defeated the goblin raid of Ferry Inn and Expelled the hobgoblin horde at Farpoint, the party now must return to the capital to root out plots and navigate hidden court intrigues! New players are welcome to join, but will need to create their characters in advance of the first game session.

ARTfactory is happy to announce our first Trees for the Arts 2022 campaign! This yearly fundraiser is an exciting way to gather family and friends together in honor of the holidays and our love for the ARTfactory. We are asking you or your organization to purchase a 4ft or 5ft holiday tree and fully decorate it. Once decorated, we ask that you drop if off at the ARTfactory so it may be entered into an auction for the benefit of the ARTfactory.
Please RSVP to [email protected] if you would like to submit a tree for our fundraiser. You are able to drop off your trees on Saturday, November 19th between 11AM and 4PM, Monday November 21st between 11AM and 4PM, or Tuesday November 22nd between 11AM and 4PM. If you plan to bid on a tree and you win, your item must be collected on Monday, December 12th by 3PM.
This year, we will be auctioning off our trees during the performances of A Christmas Carol, The Musical. Not only are people able to bid in person during the production, the community are also able to bid online and keep up-to-date with the current bid of their favorite tree! We will ask bidders to also vote for their fan favorite! The winner of Fan Favorite for Trees for the Arts Campaign will win $250! The winner will be announced after the bidding closes on Sunday, December 11th, 2022.
Your support of Trees for the Arts provides us the opportunity to continue offering relevant and engaging programming to our community. Pied Piper Theatre was launched in the Fall of 1990 as a segment of the ARTfactory (formerly Center for the Arts) in Historic Manassas.
